Gone, but Never Forgotten

Although our rivals, we like to think of other riders in the NGR series as our friends; indeed, we are almost like a big family.

Like all families we have our disagreements, but there is still a bond between us that endures, even when we can no longer swing our tired old leg over the saddle, and it is this bond that makes the loss of one of our own all the more painful.

Below are some of the NGR family who are sadly no longer with us, but will always be remembered.

Rob, aged 54, originally from Walsham le Willows, lost his life on 25th May 2025 in a motocross accident whilst riding at a practice track in Warwickshire, Midlands.

A passionate rider and a true enthusiast of the sport, Rob was still actively competing in the NGR Championship. His love for motocross and his presence in the paddock touched so many, and he is greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dave began riding motorbikes in his early teens over the local pits. At 18/19 years old he began racing motocross and was a very competitive rider.

As well as being known for his effortless looking riding style and unique custom made race numbers, fashioned out of electrical tape, he was a very popular person within the mx community and always willing to help a fellow rider out.
